The urban design and development of this 52km2 long coastline required a holistic design approach to planning, architecture and landscaping. The contents of the masterplan included new towns, resorts, marinas, a commercial area, iconic buildings (aquarium, museum and port terminal), ecological areas, new roads, lakes and canals, and housing areas.
