Lincoln University Landscape Masterplan

Selwyn, Canterbury

The main components to GHLA’s masterplan were: To unify the landscape through a consistent use of hard and soft materials, celebrate the campus’s identity through it’s physical character, cultural and social connections and highlight it’s role as a guardian of our landscapes though through the showcasing it’s ecological and sustainable principles. Our spatial designs focused on improving the opportunities for social and recreational activity within key areas on campus. This included designing spaces for social engagement such as student hangout areas, multi-purpose event spaces, outdoor dining, meeting spaces and defining enhancing the uses of existing open spaces. Consultation with the local community and Iwi were integral to the process.
